Product Description An original, full-length horror novel, not yet available in print, on sale for a limited time.
TERRIFIED...
It was supposed to be a harmless camping trip. Six wayward teenagers who'd run into trouble with the law, and their court-appointed guardians, Sara and Martin Randhurst. Three nights on a small, deserted island off of Michigan's upper peninsula. A time to bond, to learn, to heal.
Then Martin told a campfire story about the island's history. Of the old civil war prison hidden in there, and the starving confederate soldiers who resorted to cannibalism to stay alive. Everyone thought it was funny. They even laughed when Martin pretended to be dragged off into the woods.
But Martin didn't come back. And neither did Sara when she went in search of him.
Then the laughter stopped.
...TO DEATH
The group soon began to realize that this deserted island wasn't so deserted after all. And perhaps Martin's ridiculous story had more truth to it than anyone thought.
What's the most horrifying thing you can imagine?
This is a hundred times worse...
TRAPPED by Jack Kilborn It starts where other horror ends
A Word of Warning:
This is the long-awaited follow-up to AFRAID, one of the most horrifying books ever written.
Originally scheduled to be released in paperback in 2010, the publisher read the first version of the manuscript and refused to release it. The author made extensive changes, rewriting much of the story. The publisher still refused.
This is a disturbing, terrifying book. You may think you're brave enough to handle it. But you're probably not...
Contains bonus excerpts from ENDURANCE by Jack Kilborn, and AFRAID by Jack Kilborn, as well as DESERT PLACES by Blake Crouch.
But that's not all...
Taking advantage of ebook format and technology, the author is also proud to offer as a bonus; the entire original first draft of TRAPPED.
This ebook package contains two versions of the same book, dramatically different in parts. See what was cut. See what was changed. Read new characters, new scenes, and a different ending. Decide for yourself which version you prefer.
This is the very first time an ebook has been made available in two different versions, for one low price.
About the Author:
J.A. Konrath has written six Jack Daniels thrillers (Whiskey Sour, Bloody Mary, Rusty Nail, Dirty Martini, Fuzzy Navel, and Cherry Bomb.) The seventh, Shaken, will be available this October.
Under the name Jack Kilborn, he wrote the horror novel Afraid, and the ebook SERIAL with Blake Crouch, which has been downloaded more than 250,000 times.

Trapped September 2, 2010 clark77 Wow is all i have to say about this novel. I read AFRAID in a couple of sittings and couldn't wait for the next kilborn releases. I didn't know that TRAPPED was available until a couple of nights ago. I am now finished and blown away by an amazing horror story that will keep you turning pages until your brain says "Go to sleep idiot, it will still be here tomorrow" Getting ready to start ENDURANCE and am very excited. Highly recommend this book to any horror buffs out there.
This book delivers August 26, 2010 Anderson Krause (Mattawan, MI United States) If you've read Afraid or Endurance, you know what to expect. Keep it up Mr. Kilborn!
Deliciously Wicked August 26, 2010 E. Lewis (Spring, Texas) I can't wait for more. I even felt dirty because I enjoyed it so much. I have to admit I liked both versions. But the revised version was my favorite. I think adding the baby made it even more suspenseful.
This book made me a Kilborn fan!
Decent but not Kilborn's (Konrath) best August 22, 2010 B movie sheriff I'm normally a big fan of Kilborn's stories but Trapped was a little over the top for me. By over the top I mean it pushed the limits of what I could find believable. I realize it is fiction and Kilborn is known for being extreme but some of the plot twists were just borderline ridiculous. I found myself losing interest. Just my humble opinion and I will definitely still buy Konraths next book!
Brilliant August 16, 2010 Critically (PA, USA) I usually dont write many reviews but after finishing the novel (the first one in the book which is actually the final version) I can easily mark it as one of the best reads. To me horror is divided mainly in 2 categories. One - supernatural which includes ghosts spirits etc and the other -disturbing which is what this is. I can honestly say that I have seen every Saw movie and "The Hostel" gorefest without feeling a thing but this book just was something different. I actually had a couple of nightmares after finishing this book. It is extremely disturbing and some of the scenes make you cringe.
I found this author on Amazon because of his short novel Serial which sounded interesting and was free for a couple of days. I have since read a lot of his work and am finishing a couple of his short stories before I jump into the "Jack" series. I really hope that he writes a prequel or a sequel to "Trapped" and "Afraid" soon.
Read at your own risk; because if you have never read his books, you are guarenteed to be hooked after this one.
