4.5 star August 31, 2010 sao 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a big fan of the carpatian novels. I saw this book and tought I would give it a try. It was entertaining enough but not one of her best. There were a few slow parts the book could have lost about 40 pages and still been good.
Surprising! August 28, 2010 Dionne 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I loved the Drake sisters series, but I was leery of the this new series. But the unusual element of Rikki was a surprise and she was endearing. This book takes off where the Drake sisters ended and it begins after the sinking of Stavros' yacht. Lev Prakenskii made an appearance in Hidden Currents and this is his story. The twists and turns and new characters, with cameos from some old characters has me excited by this new series. I do not believe anyone who has read the Drake sisters series will be disappointed. Even if you have not read any Christine Feehan books, you will probably get hooked after reading this one.

I love sea creature - off to kill them now. August 23, 2010 Vorax 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
There are enough 1 and 2 star reviews to cover most of the reasons I disliked this book. One I did not see mentioned was the weird hypocrisy of this woman who loved the sea and it's creatures so much we had to wade thru pages of excruciating details regarding it - yet she makes her living harvesting sea urchins. I found that particularly distasteful when she was marveling at all of the magnificent animals she saw while bagging the urchins. One of the most boring books I've ever picked up.
Finally a word from Lev Prakenski August 22, 2010 Regina Mastrogiacomo (Southington, CT, USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The first novel that evolves from the Drake sister's series, Water Bound starts with Lev Prakenski being rescue by Rikki, who looks into each others eyes and know they belong to each other. Rikki, is a highly functional autistic diver, who has had a devastating childhood and shies away from everyone. Lev while recovering from his injuries, becomes attach to Rikki, both romatically and physically, and helps Rikki to not only overcome her fears, but helps her to strenghten her psychic talent (she is a element to water). I like the story, and I love the patience that Lev has with Rikki in her dealing with her talent and fears. Sweet story, I can't wait for the following novels.
