Hooked on the Brothers September 4, 2010 Shell Bell I have never been drawn in so quickly before by any author as JR Ward has done with her Black Dagger Brotherhood series, with Lover Avenged being one of my favorites. I can not wait for another book to come out! But do start with Dark Lover!

Now, as the vampire warriors defend their race against their slayers, one male's loyalty to the Brotherhood will be tested- and his dangerous mixed blood revealed.
Caldwell, NY, has long been the battleground for the battleground for the vampires and their enemies, the Lessening Society. It's also where Rehvenge has staked out his turf as a drug lord and notorious nightclub that caters to the rich and heavily armed. His shadowy reputation is exactly why he's approached to kill Wrath, the Blind King, and leader of the Brotherhood. Rehvenge has always kept his distance from the Brotherhood, even though his sister is married to a member. Because he's a sympath, his identity is a deadly secret- the revelation of which will result in his banishment to a colony for sociopaths. And as plots within and outside the Brotherhood take their toll against Rehvenge, he turns to the only source of light in a darkening world- Elhena, a vampire untouched by the corruption that has its hold on him- and the only thing standing between him and eternal destruction- JR Wards website

Rehvenge has been an ali to the Brotherhood on many occasions. If not for his sympath blood he would make a great addition to the Brotherhood. He owns a Club down town were he runs drugs ,prostitutes and gambling. All to take care of his mom , but mostly to take care of his blackmailer who he has to pay off in more ways than money every first Tuesday of the month. This ritual is killing him he just wants to connect with some one , then he meets Elhena. He knows he is not good enough for her but for some reason he pursues her anyway. After falling head over heals with her only to have his black mailer start scaring Elhena. Rehvenge decides that he must take care of this once and for all so that no one he cares about gets hurt. But in doing so he winds up hurting the ones he cares about most.
This is a great book I believe it is my favorite one. You learn so much about Rehvenge you cant help but fall in love with him. Elhena is the best you love her to from the very beginning. This book shows you so much you see more about JM, Quinn, and Blay. You really get to know Lassiter , who by the way is a crack up , i think i like him too. Maybe not as much as V but you cant not love a fallen angel with piercings and tattoos :-)
Any way if you have not checked out this book i suggest you do it is a great addition to the collection.
Totally hot stuff... July 30, 2010 Kathy B 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
J.R. Ward has become a true revelation to me. This seventh in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series is just as compelling and well written as the first six. Her characters and her empathetic treatment of them is utterly amazing. I would have never believed this genre would become a favorite, but I would have been SO wrong. As one of the other reviewers said, these are all books that the reader becomes obsessed with...turning the pages faster and faster while all the while hating the idea of the story coming to a logical end. Luckily, the second read of the series is usually just as satisfying.
Black Dagger Brotherhood is AWESOME July 23, 2010 Andrea Boss (New Mexico) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
All of these books are well worth the read. However, you do have to read them in order or be lost. They are very suspencefull & sexy.
