Product Description #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole enraptures again with this seductive tale of a fierce werewolf prince who will stop at nothing to protect the lovely archer he covets from afar.
A DANGEROUS BEAUTY... Lucia the Huntress: as mysterious as she is exquisite, she harbors secrets that threaten to destroy her -- and those she loves.
AN UNCONTROLLABLE NEED... Garreth MacRieve, Prince of the Lykae: the brutal Highland warrior who burns to finally claim this maddeningly sensual creature as his own.
THAT LEAD TO A PLEASURE SO WICKED.... From the shadows, Garreth has long watched over Lucia. Now, the only way to keep the proud huntress safe from harm is to convince her to accept him as her guardian. To do this, Garreth will ruthlessly exploit Lucia's greatest weakness -- her wanton desire for him.

Recent additions September 5, 2010 Mary Teasley I received my order for this book very quickly. It was in excellant condition. I would order from Amazon again.
Boring male lead and flat out irritating female lead September 4, 2010 bearboo2 (CA, United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Book 1 with Lachlain and Emma was a great read and book 3 with Bowen, Lachlain's cousin was also really good, so I thought the story about Lachlain's brother would also be a good one. . . . NOT! Garreth was boring and Lucia was flat out irritating. And the plot/storyline? Non-existant.
Books 1, 2 and 3 are the only good ones in the series worth reading and spending money on Starting with book 4 the whole series just gets worse and worse.
Great series September 3, 2010 Kimberly Kresley Cole writes for adults, it gets pretty steamy - fun to read mystery with lots of creatures.
Persistance is Key August 31, 2010 Avid Reading in NV The story:
Lucia the huntress has a dark past, a harsh start to her life. It lead to her being the Huntress, the Archer. She is the best archer in the world. If she misses a shot she suffers intense pain. The story behind this is known to one other and she doesn't want to share with anyone else. She must stay celibate to save her unique talents. Gareth MacRieve, Prince of Lykae, has been waiting for a thousand years for his mate. He has finally found her! Lucia is terrified of losing her powers unable to deny Gareth. She runs, taking off on a mission to banish a great evil that has always tormented her. Gareth has chasing her for over a year, at his wits end he finally catches up with her convincing her to allow him as a protector. They strike a deal that will mate them or break them.
My thoughts:
I have been waiting for this book since the first Immortals After Dark. Gareth and Lucia started their chase at that first book- in that time frame Anyone has to admire Gareths persistence! That includes Lucia. This book is very fast paced just like I enjoy. That is the best when the story sucks you in and takes you on a crazy rollercoaster. With the action and attraction in this book it is irresistible. We learn more about Lykae's in this book. Lucia and Gareth getting to know each other is sweet and sparky. This book the characters really get to know each other (except for one detail), that differs from the books previous I've read. Not bad, just different. Each book steps up in evil, battles and the pull of the mates. This book is a great addition to the series. Highly recommended.
Catch her if you can!! August 25, 2010 A. McKinnon This is a great addition to a fabulous paranormal series. As a series, I come back to this whenever I need a good fix of a fantasy world where both danger and magic are alive. Lighthearted and fun, it still manages to be full of painful histories and edge of your seat suspense.
This installment features two of my favorite characters so far. Lucia and Garreth's story is overlaid somewhat with the timeline of the previous stories. Part of the fun, in my opinion, is managing to piece it all together. They are playful and fierce as lovers and fighters and in the end it feels as though they have forged one of the stronger bonds I've seen in these stories.
That said, there is some inconsistency with the timing and pacing- the timeline jumps and you go from literally being hot on their heels to meandering along a river. The chase takes these two all over the globe and we have to just hang on for the ride. All in all though, we get everything we need to make it a great story... including one or two intriguing supporting characters that will hopefully make an appearance in a later story!
