Disappointing September 6, 2010 rashelmabella I loved the series when I first started, but the story itself is dragging on. Nothing has been resolved yet, and Damien and Ever should be back together. The series should have already been completed, by this book. As the novels carry on it is hard to have sympathy for them.
Dark Flame... Inside September 6, 2010 Is the fourth book of the series, the story continues developing; a little slow to my test but interesting enough to keep Redding. The characters started to take real shapes and you can understand why they are who they are.
Ever becomes more obsessed about what is happening in her life. There are an interesting twisting on what the reader is waiting to find in the book... if you really want to know you should just read it and enjoy it, as I pretty much did.

Dark Flame September 5, 2010 Pamela Michelsen Pond (NEWBURY PARK, CALIFORNIA, US) I really enjoy this series The Immortals and Dark Flame is the 4th in the series. I find as the series has moved forward it has become MORE frustrating. Dark Falme is an excellent example of human stupidity and a poster child for everything you should NOT do. At this point Ijust want the pain to end.
really milking the franchise September 4, 2010 D. Sullivan (California) I was so excited to get the next book in the series! Once I started reading it, I found that I COULD put it down. :(
The story was dragging, jumpy and redundant. The storyline was an obvious filler to gain more money for another book. The plot goes nowhere and just DRAGS on and on. Nothing of any real importance really occurs that couldn't be carried to a couple of chapters in book with more of a direction.
Ever has not really grown at all during the majority of the book. She almost immediately starts off with her stubborn, stupid mistakes, which I found frustrating and annoying. Her "friendship" with Haven continues to go downhill now that Haven is crazed with power. I find that storyline so frustrating as well. Haven as her best friend is a joke. The girl is hardly a frienemy and Ever's surprise at her behavior is nearly insulting. The drama between them isn't interesting or captivating. It's petty and childishly irritating.
The "dark flame" premise is interesting initially but it quickly becomes a long, dragging, irritating read. I am also irritated by Jude's character. Dreadlocks - REALLY!? I mean, the way the book is written when she describes Jude it's dread-lock this and dread-lock that. I nearly got the feeling that the author has some odd dread-lock fetish! Ewwwww!
I recommend you get it from the library or better yet, read the spoilers here. Save your time and money. If you do decided to read it be ready to jump back on the merry-go-round and go for a spin; you're going nowhere but its a distraction at least.
